QuillConnect Suite ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Email address, username, and authentication credentials
- Usage Data: Tool usage patterns, feature interactions, and session information
- Content: Text you input into our tools and generated outputs (only when you choose to save)
- Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe (we never store full payment details)
- Consent & Privacy Choices: Your cookie preferences, marketing consent, and privacy settings. We log consent events with policy version, timestamp, and a hashed IP address (for fraud prevention, per ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC)
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve our services
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To send service updates and important notifications
- To analyze usage patterns and optimize performance
- To prevent fraud and ensure security
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. Your content is processed securely and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management
- OpenAI/Anthropic: AI model providers for text generation (content is not used for model training)
Your Privacy Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
Under GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, and CCPA (California), you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your account and data
- Right to Data Portability: Export your data in machine-readable JSON format
- Right to Object: Opt out of marketing communications and analytics
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Change your cookie and consent preferences anytime
How to Exercise Your Rights (Data Subject Access Requests):
1. Download Your Data: Visit your Account Settings and use the "Download My Data" button in the Privacy & Data section. You'll receive a complete JSON export of your profile, usage history, saved content, and consent records.
2. Delete Your Account: In Account Settings, use the "Delete Account" button. Important: You must cancel any active subscriptions first. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
3. Update Consent: Manage your cookie and marketing preferences via the cookie banner or in Account Settings.
4. Email Requests: For complex requests or if you need assistance, contact privacy@quillconnect.com. We respond within 30 days (GDPR/CCPA requirement).
Data Retention
We retain different types of data for varying periods based on legal and operational requirements:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted or anonymized within 30 days of account deletion request
- Usage Logs: Retained for 12 months for analytics, security monitoring, and service improvement
- Payment Records: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting regulations (EU VAT Directive, UK law)
- Saved Artifacts: Retained indefinitely until you manually delete them or delete your account
- Consent Records: Retained for 3 years after last interaction to demonstrate GDPR compliance
- DSAR Audit Logs: Retained for 3 years to comply with data protection accountability requirements
- Anonymous Usage Data: May be retained indefinitely for statistical analysis (cannot be linked back to you)
Bundle Credits: Unused bundle credits expire at the end of your current billing cycle (monthly or annual). We do not carry over unused runs to the next cycle.
