How It Works

When you first visit QuillConnect Suite, you'll see a cookie consent banner in the footer. This banner gives you two options:

• Allow analytics - If you click this, we'll store your preference and enable optional analytics cookies

• Reject non-essential - If you click this, we'll only use essential cookies needed for the app to work

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage and persists across sessions.

• essential: Always true (required for app functionality)

• analytics: true if you allowed analytics, false if you rejected

• ts: Timestamp when you made your choice

Changing Your Mind

You can change your cookie preference at any time:

From the Footer

Click the "Cookie settings" button in the footer on any page. This will reopen the cookie banner so you can make a new choice.

From Your Account Page

Visit your Account page and look for the Cookie Preferences section. You can:

• Revoke Cookie Decision - Clears your saved preference and shows the banner again

• Change Settings - Reopens the cookie banner to modify your choice

Accessibility & Compliance

Our cookie consent implementation follows best practices for accessibility and privacy:

Keyboard Accessible

• Navigate with Tab and Shift+Tab

• Press Escape to dismiss the banner (sets safe default: analytics off)

• All buttons have visible focus indicators

Screen Reader Friendly

• Banner announces when it appears (aria-live="polite")

• All buttons have descriptive labels

• Semantic HTML structure for easy navigation

GDPR Compliant

• Equal visual weight for both buttons (no dark patterns)

• Analytics off by default (privacy-protective)

• Easy withdrawal (change in footer or Account page)

• No pre-selected choices (you must interact to set preference)

WCAG 2.1 Level AA

• Sufficient color contrast (4.5:1+)

• Minimum 44px touch targets on mobile

What We Track

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the app to function and cannot be disabled:

• Session management - Keeps you logged in

• Security tokens - Protects against CSRF attacks

• User preferences - Remembers your settings

Analytics Cookies (Optional)

Only enabled if you allow them:

• Anonymous usage data - Pages visited, features used, time spent

• Error tracking - Helps us identify and fix bugs

• Performance metrics - Page load times, interactions

We never collect:

• Personal information without consent

• Sensitive data (passwords, payment info, etc.)

Revoking Consent

To completely remove your cookie consent:

• Via Account Page: Click "Revoke Cookie Decision" in the Cookie Preferences section

• Via Browser: Delete quillo_cookie_consent from your browser's localStorage

• Via Settings: Click "Cookie settings" in the footer and make a new choice

After revoking, the cookie banner will appear again on your next page load.
